Re: CULT: fuzzy bugs etc

Neil I would be willing to bet that you would get the prize for the
popularity by those who follow your every word! Others have expressed this idea. You
should really write up your experiences and observations - they are certainly
invaluable for those with problems!
I no longer "bring in" outside plants, because I went thru the stage of
getting those fuzzy things! I am not an "inside gardener" The only thing alive
in plants that I have is aloe, for obvious reasons, altho I don't usually use
it for burns, just let it grow and use drugstore stuff --- and "sword plant"
/"mother-in-laws tongue"/"snake plant" or what I think is really
sansivera(sp???) --- anyhow it is the plant that is good for offices because it can stand a
lot of mistreatment, no water, no sun, no care! I inherited mine 40 or so
years ago from mother when she died. They go on the front porch in the spring
and back in the house around Hallowe'en. - that is the descendants of the
original.
As I understand it from what I was told years ago, you need to bring in the
house anything you want to keep over the winter -- about a month before cold
weather - or at least several weeks, and theoretically they will not have the
fuzzy-wuzzys. But nothing is worth the trouble for me, so I just do without
houseplants and try to get my fill of nature's bounty when it flourishes
outside, But I admire how others can cope! A special Happy New Year to them -
they'll need it! And a Happy, Healthy. Safe New YEar to everyone we certainly all
need that! Rosalie nr Baltimore,USA supposedly zone 7, but it is spring
midday and winter at night! and rain any-old-time! It's a topsy-turvy
weather world everywhere! ryfigge@aol.com
