RE: Re: Databases--Filemaker Pro

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd let you know that some people are getting 404 errors. If
this happens you want to try the following

In your browser press the control key from the keyboard while clicking the
refresh button. (Ctrl + refresh) This forces an update of the page
directly from the server. If that doesn't work try the link that you hadn't
tried originally:

The one thing I really love about this program is it's find function you can
do very complex searches without having to do complex queries etc.

Just hit the find and you will be albe to enter anything in one or more of
the fields making an ad hoc query to whatever you wish. Really quite nice.
There are quite a lot of nice features in this database, but it will take a
while for people who are new to learn the functionality and then it becomes
an astoundingly powerful database.

I've just remembered that I didn't update one of the listing functions. I
will do that when I feel better - play with it for now and I will post it in
a day or two. (I have a very bad flu right now - you know the intimate
relationship with the throne, the skin and spine hurting and when you walk
the soles of your feet hurt? that kinda sick).

If when you play you find something that is askew let me know and I will try
to fix it. Not all databases are perfect. But we will get it there with
everyone's help.

By the way, there is an import function which is quite good and fairly self
explanatory. If some of you are having a very hard time converting, let me
know and I will see what I can do to help you. There is no need to enter
each item at a time, because you can import from almost anything.
