COMP: genealogy database

A long time lurker, I finally have time since my retirement Dec. 31, 2003 to
be more active in this group.  I have been hybridizing MTBs for about 10 yrs
and recently moved to a location where garden space is unlimited.  I checked
out Janet's database, which was wonderful, but I'm looking for a way to track
the genealogy of my seedlings.  I've considered buying a human family tree
program to use, but would like some input from this group, since it seems like
someone here has been there and done that.
