done pigment extraction and also seen  enough of the petals where one
pigment is repressed to confirm this. I also have several series of photos
showing this in past posts to Iris Photos.

Test crosses and pigment research procedes. The yellow pigment that is
distributed with anthocyanin may may be a water based pigment such as one of
the flavanoids.
