The parentage of 'Mulberry Rose' (according to the lurker with the file
cabinet, from an email two years ago):
<Best I can find on the current Mulberry Rose questions is:
Parentage -- Frieda Mohr X Ozone OR Violet Crown. (Frieda is a
triploid, the other two tets, and MR is listed in Garden Irises as + or
- 48).>
This wasn't in the archives - it came from an offlist email. Soooo, I'm
posting it here so it will be in the archives the next time I go hunting
for the information.
I wonder if 'Mulberry Rose' had unbalanced number of chromosomes that
made her more likely to produce fertile offspring in the cross with
pallida......my first seedling, such an oddball.
