I just had (maiden) seedling bloom, STAGE LIGHTS X (a SA reblooming luminata
seedling). The result was nice! An orangey-peach ground luminata with a rich
purple wash, nicely veined. The standards match the ground color, with a
faint trace of purple wash. The falls are ruffled with a peachy edge. Very
long, erect horns tipped with small flounces (some might say spoons) bearing
the same purple luminata wash. Much nicer than its pollen parent. Large
flowers; the only defect would be vertical standards, instead of arched or
closed. For some reason, I have not seen any SA reblooming luminatas
introduced. Hope the rest of this cross blooms in the spring.
The original cross involved Rock Star. Stage Lights was used for height and
because it was a fabulous parent for Ghio. I wonder if the SA and REB genes
are located close together on the chromosme, or maybe they actually interact.
In my (limited) sample from the original cross, all the SA babies rebloomed
and the non-SA's didn't.

No, I don't have a digital camera. I did take four regular pictures, though.
