Re: CULT: wire stakes?

Hi Linda, I was just about to post about this!

I am using the stakes that Wal Mart is selling this year. They are thicker
and plastic but still green. I bought a trial package to see if the punched
labels will fit over the little open half circle at the top, and they do,
just! So I have been getting more. Am not sure how long the plastic will
last in the ground or whether a critter might decide to munch on them so
it's a new trial for me. The only thing is, you get only 25 for the $1.88
instead of 50.

But the good thing is, NOW, after Xmas, is when they're on sale. Earlier I
got some at half price, 94 cents, and this weekend they're only 47 cents!
Hope to get another batch on Tuesday when we go to town but they're
definitely running out of them. They had a TON of them earlier. I was going
to suggest they keep them to see in the Spring but they will probably be out
by then. Someone is buying them! Maybe they had the same idea we had.

Quick, go grab some! Cheers, Barb

Barb, are you the person who asked about a supplier of wire stakes sold for
use with outdoor mini Christmas light sets? Did you find more anywhere?

I have used nearly all that I had left & would like to find another source
myself.

Maybe we should both write to WalMart telling them what wonderful plant
label stakes they make! I've saved the label from the last bag for
reference - it says Holiday Time, 50 7 1/2 inch (19 cm) outdoor light stake
for use with mini light sets, $1.97. On the back, it says WM-036, Made in
China. The numbers under the barcode are 7 19046 02868 7.
