While there are always people who join an organization and then never show up at a meeting, the
ISD (Iris Society of Dallas) has a plan that seems to work well to get new people to meetings.
Instead of giving them an iris for joining, anyone who attends 6 meetings a year gets a free
new iris of their choice from a group ordered by a club comittee. We also have door prizes, donated by members, of iris or iris related materials. And we have given new members their first year of AIS membership.

I am more sure that would probably be the last time they would make it to a meeting.
