Re: HYB: six weeks old and increasing

Found something interesting today...

One of my seedlings 05-86-G2 (HOTDOGS AND MUSTARD X TYSON 97-14-11) appears to have three increases.

Germination date was Dec 1, with this notation.... "3/8" root wrapped down side of seed with root tendrils onto seed coat. Planted butt straight down to see if the root will use seed more."

As of today the seedling is maybe four inches high, the individual leaves except for the newest on the 'parent' are all rather stringy. The seed itself is clearly visible at root length from the clump.

  For what it's worth:
This seedling probably recieved two fertilizations- X-mas and New Years.
This seedling has a companion plant, and there appears to be a root tendril of that plant wrapped around the seedling root between seed and clump.

I suppose it could be pineappling? I don't know what pineappling looks like but I have heard it mentioned before... can someone post a pic?

I will post a pic if I can get a pic that shows clearly.
