Jan, I think I know what you're saying here. But correct me if I'm wrong.
Not having his field records available, I have studied his earlier breeding
habits as much as one can from the registrations. I've spent more hours with
an R & I than any living person should! As to the Tempo Two irises, I came
in somewhere around Magic Man and Tomorrow's Child.
I'm under the impression (but I can't refer you to article or catalog at
this time) that this has been a fairly recent change in attitude. I believe one
article was in Tall Talk just a couple of years ago. And this is mainly a
matter of mixing patterns and colors.
Again, I've noted this does not include plicatas.
