You two are probably facing different problems though both related to you mail program and your ISP. AOL is notorious. It could be that the AOL server is blacklisted because someone was sending spam through it and Yahoo is refusing your mail because of the AOL server problem. (or any number of other issues)
I wish I could help you, but it is beyond my range. You should start with AOL and ask them.

FYI.  Just to help pin down the problem.
I'm still having trouble too and my provider is AOL. I can send photos to iris photos all day long. I never get any indication on this end that they haven't gone through, but they don't show up on the list or in the archives.
Sometime a plain message will go through to iris photos but most of the time 
they don't go through either.
