Betty provided the above description of QUAKER LADY from the 1939
Alphabetical Iris Check List. The "TB-M-S3L" code means it is a "TB" that
flowers
midseason ("M") and that it is blend bitone or bicolor "S3" of light ("L")
tone.
The following description of QUAKER LADY in my book (p.190) is based in part
on the Sheets 1928 catalogue listed in the Check List"

"'Quaker Ladyb is a blended bicolor in pastel shades of lavender, violet
and
yellow. It has smoky-lavender standards and mauve- to ageratum-violet falls
that become bronze toward the edges. A yellow glow radiates from the center
of the flower, a glow enhanced by lush orange-yellow beards."
