Linda,
The problem you are referring to is called "Keystoning." It is caused
when the picture is being projected upwards or downwards instead of
straight at the screen and either the top or the bottom of the
picture on the screen is distorted (wider or narrower).
Most projectors, including the one the AIS has for rent, have a
manual adjustment that corrects that.
