OT-BIO
Lawrence Ransom, France. Hello.
The late Adolf Volfovich-Moler from Uzbekistan made one, maybe several,
crosses between I. stolonifera and TB. Afrosiab was registered in 1998
from
the cross stolonifera X Mary Frances. I have two further seedlings he sent
me from that same cross, RB1 and RB2, both with similar patterns and good
vigor, though not quite as attractive as Afrosiab.
Many years ago I crossed Vera with some SDB giving me the Vera-girls:
Vera-
Anne, Vera-Beatrice, Vera-Louise, Vera-Marina, Vera-Olivia and Vera-Ruby.
Unfortunately these are not fertile.
Later I crossed Vera with Keith Keppel's border bearded Faux Pas, giving
me
Eastern Blush which is fully fertile. Crossed with some AB, SDB and TB,
also
backcrossed on to regelia arils, Eastern Blush has produced some lovely
and
exciting seedlings.
