Re: HYB:CULT:TB:Questions

OK, now what's the difference between frilled and lacy.

The way I think-frilled is like gathering. You run a basting thread through
and pull. You get a frilled look but without the lacy look, the edge is
still even if you took an iron to it and iron it out.

Ruffles I picture as gentle waves but edges are smooth. Frilled is just
gentle waves tightly woven (or Pulled) together.

Yes I grow Laced Jabot and Buffy. I will pay more attention this year when
they bloom.

I'm still a little confused as to what is really lacy and the difference
from ruffled.

Linda, Ruffling is increased total petal material, resulting in a ruffled
effect at the edges.

Lace is a raised or blistered pattern along the edges of the petals
resulting in a "laced" effect.? Almost like someone used a hole punch but
didn't push it all the way through.?

Have you ever grown GRAND WALTZ, VISUAL ARTS, LADY MADONNA (?), FRINGE
BENEFITS, QUEEN OF HEARTS, LACED COTTON, LACED JABOT, BUFFY (I think I still
have this one.)

Anyone growing PINK PINCURLS by Hager?? How does it grow??

There's a laced plicata from Keith, but I can't remember the name.? Love it
?
