Finally, the last cross to sprout - in the fridge with all the rest sometime in early to mid July. Immortality X Miles Ahead. 5 seeds total, 2 sprouted after 5+ months.
All viable (i.e., hard, not squishy) seeds finished germinating in 2 crosses a week or so ago - 100% germination.
In the rest of the crosses, about half to 2/3 have sprouted after 5+ months.Best across-the-board germination ever - this is the first time in several years that I've left individual seeds in the fridge until they sprout. Usually, I pot all of a cross as soon as a few start to sprout, & years with a lot of pods, have potted all crosses as soon as any crosses started to sprout.
Love the technique of just putting the fresh seeds in a baggie with just enough moisture to make them shine. No paper towel, no potting mix, no nothing. Makes it <so> much easier to keep moisture right and see & remove new sprouts.
First sprouts germinated the end of October. Big range of chilling hours required for the different crosses. The older ones have had a couple of 'haircuts' to make them still fit under the lights ;-)
