Wow, I just checked in and saw the flurry of activity! I hadn't realized that there were so many of you guys still tuned in to Iris-Talk. I'm one of those who miss the good ole days when this was pretty much THE place for iris related discussions. I signed up for Facebook and tried the various Facebook discussion groups but it just doesn't "click" in the same way for me. So, at best, I'll see a few iris related postings now and then, when I randomly check in to Facebook every 3 months or so. My iris discussion has just mostly gone off the public radar into e-mail and phone discussions. But I do still enjoy and participate in discussions of rose hybridizing at the Rose Hybridizers Association forum, which might be another fairly successful model to take a look at, if you're considering starting a new forum. It's gone through changes over the years, but still maintains a lot of activity. Here's a link to that site: http://rosebreeders.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 And before I go, please let me shout out a big "Thanks!!!" for Hort.Net. I still use those archives pretty regularly. And also a big "Thanks!!!" to Bob (and all of his helpers) for the Iris-Wiki. Both are amazing resources!!! :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
