just got hold of some plants of EARL OF ESSEX. Are they closely related? Does
EOE also have the same fine scent? Is the rebloom as reliable? - what are
other growers experiences??...............I'm not sure how far the orchid
violet markings extend across the standards.
Graham,
I imagine someone out there has grown Earl of Essex longer than I and may have
a more detailed answer, but as far as the reliability of rebloom goes, I can
say that I planted EOE in august this year and had a bloom stalk in December,
which I think would actually have bloomed if not for our unusually early
amount of snow & ice!
