Sorry to be dense, but which seeds are we talking about freezing?
I guess everyone knows not all species need a chill?
My understanding is, from what source I don't recall, that Clarence's
experiece is the norm. Seeds chilled in the fridge are okay, seeds frozen in
the freezer are not necessarily okay and may die, and seeds left to go
through the winter outside will be fine if you don't let the birds, etc. get
them.
You can chill some stuff for ever, but if they don't get sun on the seeds, no
germination. Some stuff you can start inside like an annual, some stuff has
to have two periods of chill with a warm period between. Some stuff seems to
germinate in the cold. These are Deno's findings. Works for me.
