In response to queries, we live about an hour south-east of Montreal,
QC. We are close to the VT border and Lake Champlain. We are just on
the edge of a "micro climate" area that supports a growing number of
vineyards. A friend who is only 15 miles from here has been told that
her (sheltered) garden would be Zone 5a.
P.S. Just got a catalogue from Gardens North (perennial seeds). They
have a T-shirt that I have to have. It reads "I CONSIDER EVERY PLANT
HARDY UNTIL I HAVE KILLED IT MYSELF"
