That point is very interesting as we have recently had an invasion of
Japanese Lacquer Beetle in the Ottawa area which is devastating our
lilies (not day lilies). One must pick off the adults and larvae each
evening. The larvae can strip whole plant of leaves in about three
days. Some of my lilies are near the Tigridia but I have seen no sign
of damage and I inspect the latter daily in order to photo the flowers.
