Dear Carolyn,

Thank-you for reminding me that the purpose of the iris-l is to exchange
ideas, experiences, "facts", and opinions. My desire to take the topic of my
use of the term "broken color" (BC) off the iris-l, was a poor decision based
on feeling a little "heat".

I especially want to apologize to Ellen because she's feels guilty about
sending her note on the iris-l. Actually, Ellen did me a big favor. Her
slip allowed Carolyn to remind me of my responsibilities.

We should keep as many topics on the iris-l as possible; however, it will
only work if we remember to only criticize ideas and opinions, NOT PEOPLE.
If you want to criticize, attack or even tease someone, it might be better
to do that off the iris-l. If we use the iris-l to exchange our ideas and to
vigorously debate our opinions, we all may gain from the experience, but
let's try to eliminate personal attacks. (save those for private mail).

I will put more of my ideas about broken color out in another message, but it
may take a week or so because I'll be traveling.

D--m the consensus full speed ahead, Brad Kasperek ZEBRAIRIS@aol.com
