PLEASE let's not start that "colder-than-thou" stuff again.

Agreed but the different weather mentioned by all the list members is
very interesting.  When you think that we were discussing freezer
against refrigerator storage and the seeds are spending weeks here at
-30C, or there abouts, they seems tougher than we think they are.

PS  As I was raised just down the road from you, I appreciate your
climatic advantages quite well at this time of the year!  Two years ago,
I spent a whole day in the garden at Wisley in January, here you would
be hard pressed to spend ten minutes in the garden as flesh freezes in 1
minute at a wind chill of -45C.
