I certainly have never heard of I. tridentata being so far west, and am
doubtful. There was at least one report of it being found in Tennessee in the
19th century. It is in any event quite rare in the wild from what I
understand. The authority on this iris is John Wood, P.O. Box 861, Gaffney,
