Ahhh. Sounds pritty good to me!
Last year, several of us on the list tried to get some idea of what kind of
volume, expenses, profits are involved in a commercial iris business, and
didn't get any response. With all these new commercial/hybridizers on line,
I thought I'd try again. Let's say I have 27,000 bearded iris for sale. How
many of them can I sell each year? Do I always have 27000 (assuming the
business isn't growing or declining)? What fraction of those are duds that
will be replaced with something else? How many get replaced with newer stuff
or for other reasons (e.g., I need to have more pinks and fewer yellows)?
etc etc.
We had such wonderful iris classes in hybridizing, how about an online
minicourse in sales and marketing? Too crass? Too personal?
