You should be using labels rated for outdoor use--they can be obtained
from Horticultural Printers in Dallas; their number is 1-800-433-8247;
they have a special weatherproof vinyl label for laser printers that
comes in 8 1/2 x 11 sheets, with various number of labels per sheet,
depending on the size label you choose.
We have just bought them and will use them this year. We have not tried
them before but have SOLID recommendations from other gardens that have
used them.
If you use this label and a laser printer, you shouldn't have to mess
with any type of cover-up spray or coating.

Superstition Iris Gardens
Central California foothills--a nice soft gentle rain today, about an
