Re: taxonomists, setosa, and tridentata

Greetings,

I subjected myself to reading a beginner's book on plant taxonomy a couple of
years ago and I have always felt the experience was worthwhile, especially
for one with a meager scientific background. I say subjected because the book
I read, An Introduction to Plant Taxonomy , second edition, by C. Jeffrey,
from Cambridge University Press, was written in an amazingly tedious style.
There may be better ones around, but this one was in the public library.
Learning a little really headed off a lot of confusion, I think.
