The answer that Tom T. Little gave on this is correct...HOWEVER, most of the
sections have a class of "members" called subscribers. A subsciber pays the
same dues, gets the publication, participates in the Seed Exchange, etc, but
cannot participate in organizational issues, e.g. elections, or serve as an
officer.
Of course, we welcome you to join AIS too, and hope you will consider it.
The AIS and regional publications, local and regional activities, and
fellowship are positive benefits. Many people who have joined AIS have first
been "subscribers" to AIS sections. I hope you will consider both! Warm
