New Orleans

I have had a sudden need to go to New Orleans for four days next week
and am sure that I could get away for an afternoon without too much
effort. Can anyone direct me to any good gardens or nature reserves
where I could see irises, particularly louisianans. I would imagine
that I could rent a car and spend 4-5 hours on the trip if it was
worthwhile.
