In a message dated 26/01/97 20:37:51, Clarence says
<< Another type of demand is from artists, and one might be surprised how
many
artists there are who also garden. A majority of artists I have come into
contact with prefer to draw and paint historic irises rather than modern
tall
bearded irises. >>
We hold a picnic weekend here each year (great fun!). Local artist's groups
and clubs as well as individual artists often come here to
paint/draw/sketch/photograph. They are interested in all irises, but
especially the older ones for the reasons Clarence suggests.
And there are A LOT of gardening artists (but isn't gardening an art too?)
