Absolute must for siberians:
Joe-Pye Weed's Garden
Marty Schafer and Jan Sacks
337 Acton Street
Carlisle, MA 01741
They were the main host garden for MASS Medley last June. Their seedlings
won ALL the siberian seedling awards at the convention. Marty and Jan carry
Siberians, Versicolors, and species of their own hybridizing as well as some
of Warburton's breeding. In 1997 they will also be introducing irises from
Tomas Tamberg of Germany who hybridizes siberians and is doing fascinating
work on wide interspecies crosses. Tamberg/Niswonger CS1-93 won the best
species seedling award at MASS Medley.
I don't remember where you live, but, I also suggest a trip, if possible to
the ISM (Iris Society of Massachusetts) Sale on July 26, 1997 and the Apogon
Sale in August. I don't know the date of the Apogon sale yet but you could
ask Marty and Jan if you write for their sale list.
Close your eyes and think of iris.
