Hi all! Just a reminder that we'll have an Iris-L chat channel this Sunday
to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the list.
It will be on IRC, on the undernet. Set your IRC host to us.undernet.org.
(Overseas members might want to check if there is an undernet server in
their country, e.g., uk.undernet.org, rather than using the US one.)
[Aside: "us.undernet.org" will route you to the undernet server nearest
you--which, however, may not be the one with the lightest load. If you have
trouble connecting, John Jones recommends using
los-angeles.ca.us.undernet.org with a port in the range 6660-6669, but not
6667.]
Once connected, type /join #iris-l
(That's all lowercase, with the hyphen included. By now, you all know that
"l" is a lowercase L not the digit 1.)
Time: 7 pm MST = 9 pm EST = 0200 GMT
Hope to see lots of you there. There will be birthday cake and champagne!
