RE: North, South, East or West?

Here in Lovely Rainy Washington, it is necessary to plant the rizomes in what 
ever direction your garden allows them to receive the most sun. I always cut 
my leaves back after bloom just to allow more sun to reach the rizomes! I 
think this helps to minimize the chance of rot.
