Considering the company it travels in (CODICIL, FULL TIDE, MICHIGAN PRIDE)
is it not more probable that Dale's putative "ELEGANCE" is a misidentified
or incompletely identified cultivar of recent origin (e.g., CHAMPAGNE
ELEGANCE) rather than a historic iris, which as Anner confirms, is unknown
to the HIPS Data Bank as still being in cultivation?
