Janet and Shan,
     The weather here is easier to take than what we had in Lexington, KY. 
There, it snowed this past May 15.  During the early 1980's, after a run of
unusually warm December weather (70's F), the temperature plummeted to the
-20's F in less than 24 hours.  Since the ground was bare, and it was also
VERY windy, many things got freeze-dried.
