Dear Ruth, Thanks for replying. How would you describe the color?
I sure hope that mine survive - what I have left, after sharing so many.
I wonder if McKay is available anywhere to purchase if I lose mine this
winter?
I had a difficult time getting them going. They just "sat there" for 2
years, and the third year they bloomed - and they were beautiful. After
dividing and separating, they do not look very strong or healthy now.
Ofcourse we are in the dead of winter now in the Pacific Northwest - snow
was all over this morning.
I really like McKay. My son married a lovely girl with the last name
MacKay, and I had hoped to develop enough of the rhizomes for her one
day. I think I am addicted to Iris - if there is any such word to
describe it. I absolutely adore the strong scented old fashioned - and
hard to find Lena's. A bouquet of them perfumes the entire house!
Warm regards, Nicki
