Dear Richard:, I did not compare the iris with the color charts,but mine,
from England, have very little that is in the area of true blue. I would
say the new seedling is a "sky blue" but a bit deeper. It is very smooth,
very much a self.This year may give me a chance to see if it will grow
tall; its parentage indicates it should. I grew very few things from St.
Petersburg, because of the inheritance from Leda's Lover. But this one
releases me from the vow, and I intend to try ST>P again. The new seedling
was crossed, and took both ways, setting a pod to a very modern blue
seedling of mine that I may introduced, in spite of not reblooming here. Is
