Welcome from another Sunlander.
There are two iris societies in the area you might be interested in.
The Southern California I S meets at the LA County Arboretum and
usually has a dinner meeting around Presidents' Day (where I first
got to knot the redoubtable Rick Tasco). I'm a member but don't get
to many meetings.
There is also the San Fernando Valley I S, which normally meets
on the first Thursday of the month, but in January we have a special
program on the 15th. We will have Mike (and perhaps Anne) Lowe with
a slide show and judges' training on historic irises. We meet at the
Canoga Park Women's Club, 7401 Jordan St., with munchies at 7:00
and meeting proper at 7:30.
I am sending this to the list to invite everyone who might be able to make it.
Gerry, who got most of his iris replanted before the new year
