I believe our club uses white PVC pipe (3/4") 12 - 16" long which is
attached to a wooden base (5" x 6" x 3/4" ?) the ID tags can be hung in the top
of the pipe with a paper clip. I think you should be able to drill a flat
bottomed hole (Forstener bit) 3/4" in diameter and 1/2" deep and glue the pipe
into the bases with epoxy.

We are looking for suggestions for holders for an Iris show. Of course
the operative word is cheap.
