Some questions have been raised about the colour chart of the Royal
Horticultural Society. Anyone interested in the Society, membership, or
asking any questions can reach them directly through the following site

Membership is well worth the money as it gives one an excellent
horticultural magazine, access to a seed exchange and a questions and
answer system through the Internet, as well as an on line series of
articles, access to gardens in the UK, etc. All for about $50US for, I
believe, 3 years.
With regarded to the ice storm, many thanks for the messages, on and off
line. In Ottawa itself, we are doing quite well and expect the state of
emergency to be lifted in the next day or so. It appears as if it will
remain in effect in some rural areas of Quebec and Ontario for well over
a week as they are extremely severely damaged. It is considered by far
the worst natural disaster in Canadian history. In this house, people,
dogs, and plants survived the lack of heat very well and may have
benefitted from being detatched from the world for a week!
