Yes. A great deal can only be learned
by experimenting, but sometimes it's
possible to learn from others' experiments.
For example, the inability of theTBs' dominant
anthocyanin inhibitor to affect the aril
pathways has been explored in depth. You
can make the dominant white TB x CAPITOLA
cross yourself to satisfy your curiousity or you
can build on the accumulated wisdom and
make use of the knowledge that if you use
TBs that are white, yellow, or pink by virtue
of that inhibitor you're going to get a lot of
muddy seedlings. =
