I've observed two different phenomena.
As dusk falls, the whites stand out in the
garden because they reflect more of the
available light than do the darker colors.
By moonlight, though, certain others seem
luminous. These "ghostly" ones actually =
appear brighter than the nearby white fence,
but few are near-white in daylight.
This is a complex trait, whose genetics I'm
still trying to fathom -- so it will NOT be a
part of HYB 201!
