My 'two guys in a garage' went bankrupt, pulled the plug and rode off into
the smog with their unix boxes and modem bank.

I am now with a new outfit -- 'three guys in an abandoned storefront' --
hopefully they are charging enough such that Bell Atlantic won't shut them
down for the last 10 days of every month as was typical with tricities.

I have been lying in the weeds like an ol' hound dog, just my eyes showing.
Have been back on line for three days after several months of
up-down/on-off service from tricities. Gronks of 'catch-up' with
notifications, site mods, internic hassle, DNS mods and other nerdy things.


My new provider LOOKS much more solvent albeit not quite so high tech. (NT
servers vice 500 mhz unix boxes) They specialize in hosting domains and I
have gone completely with my domain for net access, email, chat, site
hosting, etc.

I can now make mods and updates to the World Iris Federation page --
haven't had access for many months due to difficulties with tricities
and/or backlash from their nonpayment of THEIR service provider.
