Latest issue of American Nurseryman (Feb 1 98) p 38 "Warm Warriors" by Gill &
Raupp, reviews research at U of Maryland on beneficial nematodes (S.
carpocapsae and H. bacteriophora) to combat borer. Reports success = or
better than Cygon 2E or Marathon w/out the toxic effects known by we in borer
land.
Anybody have personal experience of this? We are cold Zone 5 & wonder whether
these particular nematodes would winter over for us. American Nurseryman
doesn't give an email address for these folks, but I'm sure there is one--I'm
just learning my way around here.
