Well, my I. pumila var. attica sent up one bloom a few days after
Christmas. There was no pollen on the anthers so I was unable to do a self
cross. (Now this surprises me, shouldn't a wild collected species iris
have pollen????) Instead I took some pollen out of the freezer and applied
it to the I. attica flower. With luck it will develop into a nice seed pod
for me in a few weeks! The pollen parent was URIAH THE HITTITE a very nice
reblooming bicolor with palish cream stands and maroon falls.
The other dozens of rzs I have ought to bloom for me in a couple months
(which is when they're supposed to do it).
