Yes, dried blood will work to repel any vertebrate plant-eater. The dried
blood powder can be purchased at almost any garden center, usually in 3-lb
bags or boxes. It is a by-product of the meat industry. Three pounds
usually gets me through the spring, after which the deer and rabbits seem
to go somewhere else or switch to another diet.
