Dear Claire: Glad to hear a dispassionate (is that my word?) explanation from
someone in the Region under fire. There has been too much criticism from
outside the Region, probably because they 're unaware of the true
circumstances. As you yourself practice, anyone who accepts an important
office should be willing and able to attend the National conventions, so they
can better serve their constituents. Also, as long as an election is held
fair and square, defeat should be gracefully accepted. Heretofore there
probably has not been such a problem for the Board to address. Just think of
the hullaballu there would be if National had decided to disprove a bona fide
election! It would be like the FEDERAL Gov't interfering with STATES'
RIGHTS! I'm sure there will be a clarification made in addition to
qualifications and an address.
Let's not keep stirring the pot of dissension -- Good sportsmanship is
not confined to athletic sports Congratulations on coming forward - you
"did good," Claire, as usual! Rosalie nr Baltimore
