I've been reviewing all the previous year's messages relating to
hybridizing (I saved them all and printed them out), and I've come
up with a few questions. Now I'll ask them one at a time.
1998 was pretty cold and wet for many regions, and so bearded iris
crosses sufferred. Nothing much was mentioned about other irises,
like Louisianas, cristatas, versicolors, Siberians, etc. Does cold,
wet weather adversely affect everything? Or do some iris types shrug
it off and set seed readily in spite of it?
