OT: Welcome, Christopher Maslon!

From: HIPSource@aol.com

Hello, Christopher Maslon.

Welcome to the list!. You will certainly find plenty of folks to talk to about
irises here.

Over the last couple of years we've had quite a few artists among us. The iris
in all her permutations seems to attract artists. I'm one myself, although I
do not do botanical illustration as you do. That field has come a long way
lately and there are some very interesting things happening.

Delighted to hear you are already a member of the local and national
societies, and of HIPS. Lots of HIPSoisie here, too. You'll feel right at
home. You have discovered our HIPS page haven't you? It is at
http://www.worldiris.com/

<< raise 60 orchids(named cultivars),cross iris,raise 65 daffodils(named
Cultivars) collect books 1,500+ in the little reference library I started
here.( mostly on plants) on is dated 1773. its a cookbook. love antiques,
phonographs, geneaology, and know my polish heritage 7 generations back.>>

This is a fascinating group of interests! I'm sure you will bring a lot of
interesting ideas to the list, so pipe right up when the spirit moves you.
Don't be shy! We love new folks here and, as you may have already figured out,
we are a quirky but lovable bunch of folk.
