For most parts of this country, I'd agree -- but please remember that there
are some climates in which bearded rhizomes need shade for survival and the
relative humidity is so low that ventilation can actually be hazardous.
I killed a lot of tough TBs when I first moved to southern New Mexico and
planted them the same way I'd done in Oklahoma!
